Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Madison, Wisconsin, this role is essential for ensuring accurate financial records and smooth accounting operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in bookkeeping practices and familiarity with NetSuite. Responsibilities: • Prepare and manage billing processes to ensure accurate and timely invoicing. • Oversee accounts payable activities, including processing invoices and managing vendor payments. • Handle accounts receivable tasks, such as tracking payments and resolving discrepancies. • Perform essential bookkeeping duties, including maintaining accurate financial records. • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial data consistency. • Utilize NetSuite software for accounting tasks and financial reporting. • Collaborate with team members to address any accounting or financial issues. • Maintain compliance with all applicable financial regulations and company policies. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role. • Proficiency in NetSuite and other accounting software such as QuickBooks. • Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Experience with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
