About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to join our organization in Branford, CT. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about supporting operational excellence through accurate financial management.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable (AP): Process approximately 50 invoices weekly with accuracy and timeliness.Payroll: Manage biweekly payroll for 153 employees using Paylocity, ensuring compliance and confidentiality.Accounts Receivable (AR): Contact vendors, process incoming payments, and maintain up-to-date records.Communication: Field calls from staff in the field and provide responsive support.Financial Records: Maintain and update financial systems using QuickBooks and Excel.Reporting: Assist with reconciliations, audits, and periodic financial summaries.Administrative Support: Contribute to broader office operations and adapt to evolving priorities.Must-Have SkillsAccounts Payable (AP)Accounts Receivable (AR)Payroll ProcessingBasic proficiency in ExcelExperience with QuickBooks and PaylocityNice-to-Have SkillsAdvanced Excel functionsNonprofit accounting experienceStrong organizational and communication skillsWhat You’ll BringA foundational understanding of accounting principlesComfort working independently and collaborativelyA proactive, problem-solving mindsetProfessionalism and discretion in handling sensitive informationPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.44/hr.
