Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper with expertise in managing financial records and ensuring the accuracy of transactions. This position is based in Lowell, Indiana, and offers an excellent opportunity to work in the detail-oriented services industry. As a Contract-to-Permanent role, it provides a pathway to long-term employment for the right candidate. Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and general ledger updates. • Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. • Utilize QuickBooks to organize and track financial data efficiently. • Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review. • Ensure compliance with internal accounting standards and procedures. • Monitor cash flow and assist in budget preparation. • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports. • Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to financial transactions. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related role. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. • Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.
