Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join one of our clients on a contract to hire basis. This role is essential to ensuring accurate financial records and efficient day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting practices, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections. • Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure compliance with accounting standards. • Perform bank reconciliations to verify and balance financial statements. • Process billing transactions and coordinate the printing and distribution of checks. • Oversee cash applications and manage the balancing of receipts. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Collaborate with team members to support financial reporting and analysis tasks. • Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards in all financial activities. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting functions. • Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes. • Familiarity with Yardi software and other accounting tools. • Solid understanding of journal entries and general ledger maintenance. • Knowledge of US GAAP standards and their application in financial processes. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred. • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
