Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This is a long-term contract position within the construction industry, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting processes. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable processes, including accurate recording and timely payments. • Handle accounts receivable tasks, ensuring proper invoicing and collection efforts. • Perform bank reconciliations to verify financial transactions and maintain records. • Assist in construction accounting activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards. • Process payroll transactions accurately and efficiently; training will be provided if needed. • Maintain organized financial documentation and support audits as required. • Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and improve financial procedures. • Provide timely reporting and analysis to support decision-making. • Support efforts to catch up on delayed financial tasks and ensure current operations are streamlined. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably within the construction industry. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Familiarity with bank reconciliations and financial reporting. • Understanding of construction accounting principles is highly desirable. • Ability to learn and manage payroll processes effectively. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
