Bookkeeper
Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client's team on a contract basis in Oregon City, Oregon. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle a variety of bookkeeping and administrative tasks. Responsibilities: • Process payroll for a workforce of 25+ employees in a timely and efficient manner. • Oversee accounts payable by preparing and issuing checks weekly. • Reconcile expenses and assign them to the appropriate grant accounts with precision. • Provide support across multiple areas, including bookkeeping and administrative functions. • Assist with miscellaneous human resources tasks, such as maintaining records and documentation. • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements. • Utilize QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel to maintain organized financial data. • Handle month-end close processes to finalize financial reporting. • Support grant accounting by accurately tracking and reporting grant-related expenses. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping with strong attention to detail. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software. • Solid knowledge of payroll processing and accounts payable/receivable. • Ability to perform account reconciliations and month-end closing procedures. • Experience with grant accounting and expense coding is highly desirable. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. • Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy. • Familiarity with bank reconciliations and financial reporting processes.
