Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in the East End, Long Island. NY. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of accounting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for numbers. Key Duties: • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. • Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain precise financial data. • Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, including invoice management and payment tracking. • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between company records and bank statements. • Assist in preparing payroll and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees. • Input and update financial data using bookkeeping software and Microsoft Excel. • Generate financial reports in Quickbooks and Excel to support decision-making and compliance requirements. • Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to financial transactions in a timely manner. • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting procedures and enhance efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role. • Strong knowledge of account reconciliation, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR). Proficiency in Quickbooks and Excel • Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and managing financial data. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial records. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. • Excellent communication skills.
