Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Paramus, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of key accounting processes. This position requires exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in handling diverse bookkeeping tasks. Responsibilities: • Perform thorough account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently. • Handle bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. • Oversee payroll operations with precision and timeliness. • Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting tools to maintain organized financial data. • Conduct month-end close procedures to ensure timely financial reporting. • Enter and update financial data with accuracy in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. • Assist in preparing tax-related documentation and reports as required. • Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations. • Collaborate with team members to support overall financial operations. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes. • Demonstrated ability to handle account reconciliations and bank reconciliations. • Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting. • Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
