Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Hingham, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and supporting a variety of bookkeeping activities. This position offers an opportunity to work onsite for 20-25 hours per week and requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of financial accountability. Responsibilities: • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with precision and efficiency. • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting. • Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect all financial activities. • Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to company policies. • Assist with month-end close procedures to finalize financial statements. • Perform data entry tasks to record and categorize transactions appropriately. • Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for bookkeeping and reporting purposes. • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. • Collaborate with team members to address and resolve any discrepancies in financial records. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes. • Familiarity with performing bank reconciliations and maintaining general ledgers. • Ability to handle month-end close procedures efficiently. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work onsite in Hingham, Massachusetts for 20-25 hours per week.
