Description We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join a boutique Architectural and Design firm in San Antonio, Texas. This Contract-to-ongoing position offers the opportunity to work closely with a creative team while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in QuickBooks Online and a solid understanding of bookkeeping practices tailored to small and midsize businesses.
Responsibilities:
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including vendor payments and client invoicing.
• Record and reconcile financial transactions using QuickBooks Online to ensure accuracy.
• Handle payroll processing or coordinate with external payroll providers to guarantee timely employee payments.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow analyses, for management review.
• Monitor and maintain expense tracking systems, including reimbursements and company credit card reconciliations.
• Assist in compiling year-end financial documents for tax purposes in collaboration with external accountants.
• Maintain organized vendor files and ensure all monthly invoices are paid on time.
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls to maintain compliance.
• Collaborate with leadership and design staff to streamline financial workflows and improve efficiency.
• Address QuickBooks Online-related queries and troubleshoot system issues as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, with strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Familiarity with the architectural, design, or creative services industries is highly preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and the ability to manage complex spreadsheets.
• Strong organizational abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial documentation and reconciliations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; bookkeeping certification is a plus.
