Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Irvine, California. This position offers flexibility, requiring three days of work per week, with the opportunity to manage essential financial operations for a non-profit organization. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to vendors. • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and tracking incoming payments. • Perform accurate bank reconciliations to maintain financial records. • Maintain precise bookkeeping records and ensure compliance with financial standards. • Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting purposes. • Assist in preparing financial documents and reports as required. • Monitor financial transactions to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. • Support overall financial operations and maintain organized documentation. • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth accounting workflows. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably within a non-profit environment. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. • Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail. • Ability to analyze financial discrepancies and provide solutions. • Strong organizational and time management abilities. • Familiarity with accounting principles and standards. • Effective communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
