This role plays a vital part in maintaining the company’s financial records and ensuring smooth operations within the accounting department. Key Responsibilities: + Recording daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments, into accounting software. + Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments and customer collections. + Reconciling bank accounts, credit card transactions, and other financial statements to ensure accuracy. + Assisting with payroll, including processing hours, deductions, and issuing payments. + Preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements, for management review. + Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring proper categorization of financial transactions. + Assisting with tax preparation, audits, and compliance matters as needed. + Collaborating with internal teams to resolve discrepancies or provide financial insights. Requirements + Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a related accounting role. + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel. + Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and general accounting practices. + Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. + Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors, clients, and team members. + An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus but not required.
