Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
The KARAMO show is seeking a BOOKING PRODUCTION ASSISTANT to assist with all aspects of the show's booking of guests and production of segments. This is a project/limited term position with an estimated duration of approximately 5 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
Responsibilities:
+ Book guests/stories to appear on the show
+ Meet with guests who will appear on the show while they are in town
+ Communicate with team about guests needs
+ Finalize legal and guest paperwork for guests to appear on show
+ Outreach to guests about stories to appear on the show
+ Manage guests show day schedule i.e. hair, make-up, wardrobe, briefing
+ Involvement in all show-day procedures, assist the Producing and Production teams in all stages of production
Basic Qualifications:
+ Minimum 6-months professional TV experience with a talk show or news program or other relevant entertainment experience preferred
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams and navigating the internet
Desired Characteristics:
+ Experience with Daytime talk shows a plus
+ Minimum 6-months TV Production experience preferred
+ Strong interpersonal skills and previous experience booking guests for television
+ Detail oriented
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments under high pressure in a fast-paced environment
+ Ability to follow direction and work independently when necessary
+ Superior organizational skills
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred
