About the job:
Kent are seeking Boilermakers to join our Ampol Future Fuels Project at Lytton.
This is an amazing opportunity to join a critical Australian infrastructure project which will be instrumental in reducing emissions and improving the environment.
As a Boilermaker on the project, you will be responsible for a variety of metal fabrication tasks including: cutting, shaping, assembling and welding of plate and/or structural steel items, such as: Tanks, Pressure Vessels, Modules, Pipe Supports and Structural Steel. You will work with precision and technical expertise to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest quality standards and safety regulations.
Your day to day will include:
Construct, assemble and install components, including tanks, modules, pipe supports, steel structure and pressure vessels, following blueprints, drawings, and specifications with high precision.Perform welding tasks using techniques such as FCAW, GMAW and SMAW based on project requirements and material specifications.Weld plate and structural components in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion.Interpret engineering and detailed fabrication drawings, specifications and standards to complete tasks accurately.Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers;Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Maintain and care for welding equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition.Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and construction management team, to achieve project goals and timelines.Keep detailed records of work performed: including Daily weld logs, Consumable logs, Workpacks and Weld maps.About You:
Our ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Engineering or a Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker) or Equivalent . Work at Heights competency, Confined Work Space entry and White Card are mandatory and the ability to pass a medical and weld test. Back ground in construction projects within the Oil & Gas industry will be highly regarded.
