Position Overview:

The Body Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the body shop department, including staff supervision, production scheduling, safety compliance, and equipment maintenance. This position ensures high-quality repairs and efficient workflow, while promoting a safe and productive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Supervision

Supervise body shop technicians and assign daily tasks. Interpret job orders and assign duties to team members. Conduct safety meetings and manage local safety program reporting. Motivate and support employees to meet performance and quality standards. Maintain accurate timekeeping for shop employees.

Production Oversight & Quality Control

Study production schedules to estimate labor requirements. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production goals. Ensure all products meet specifications and quality standards. Analyze and resolve work problems; assist technicians when needed.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies. Maintain equipment and coordinate necessary service or repairs. Enforce safety standards and housekeeping practices throughout the shop.

Process Improvement & Coordination

Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and quality. Coordinate activities with other departments to optimize workflow. Inspect completed work for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
