This is an excellent opportunity for a Board-Certified or Board Eligible Surgeon to join Linnaeus on a permanent contract. The 1st 12 months will be with the fantastic team at Wear Referrals, followed by a role in the North of England at Wear, Kentdale, and/or Paragon.

Wear Referrals (part of Linnaeus Veterinary Limited, owned by Mars) is a multi-disciplinary, specialist veterinary referral hospital in the north east of England, close to the historic university city of Durham, the thriving city of Newcastle, and set between the north east coast and the Pennines. Our award-winning hospital is also within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and Scotland. 

Our services, with more than 20 specialists, include neurology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, anaesthesia, oncology, diagnostic imaging and cardiology, as well as a busy primary care out-of-hours emergency service and in-house physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. 

Role Details 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a board-certified or board eligible veterinarian in small animal surgery to join the team at Wear Referrals.  The position will cover both orthopaedics and soft tissue but specifically orthopaedics.

This exciting role will require the candidate to: 

Provide clinical services as a specialist consultant in soft tissue and ortho surgery cases. Work with the surgery team for the development of the service Work collaboratively with all other services and foster good interdepartmental relationships Demonstrate professional standards that will advance patient care.
