**Responsibilities:**
+ Supports the Mission and Vision of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health.
+ Incorporates Trinity’s mission, vision and goals and the Organization Integrity Plan into daily work.
+ Routinely works with infectious and hazardous substances.
+ Reads, understands and follows standard operating procedures and policies per regulatory guidelines.
+ Provides clerical, administrative and technical (when appropriate) support to the department.
+ Support to the Blood Bank through collation, review, and analysis of quality assurance data, data management, report preparations, and assistance with quality assurance assignment.
+ Assists with Blood Bank daily workload.
+ In charge of the Tissue Bank including inventory management, and training.
+ Performs inventory and supply management under the supervision of the Blood Bank Manager or designee.
+ Ability to work in harmony with other personnel.
+ Demonstrates basic computer, technology and database literacy.
+ Demonstrates comprehension, skill, and command of oral and written English Language communication.
+ Performs other related duties or special project as assigned and as needed independently.
+ Accountable for all work completed and required to consistently perform tasks with minimal supervision and without deviation from department policies and procedures.
**What you will need:**
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ One year experience in a medical setting preferable with knowledge of medical terms
+ Familiar with database management and basic Office modules such as Words, Excel, PowerPoint.
+ Type at least 50-60 words per minute
+ Able to index data to be retrieved in a timely and efficient manner.
+ Proven ability to read English proficiently and to perform basic arithmetic.
+ Familiar with medical terminology and clinical laboratory
+ Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff/public.
+ Great attention to detail ability to handle multiple assignments at once.
**Pay Range: $18.78 - $26.29**
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
