Education/ Experience​Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or other degrees); ​5+ years in IT or relevant experience, 2+ years in smart contract development​Expertise in key smart contracting languages (Rust, Solidity, Solana among others)​Understanding of fundamental blockchain principles​Key Responsibilities ​Architecture and design of distributed protocols with an emphasis on security, performance, and scalability​Develop and own best practices for protocol upgrades and versioning across different networks​Collaborate with engineering, product, and design on the user-facing applications built around our smart contract protocols​Mentor other engineers in in-depth Stellar, Solana, Solidity/EVM and Rust topics and best practices​Behavioral Skills​Teamwork and collaboration​Adaptability / ability to manage change​Problem solving; working effectively with colleagues inside and outside of IT to achieve the best results​Attention to detail ​Critical thinking ​User-centric mindset ​Risk management ​Understand the importance of have a correct information managementKnowledge of Information Security and Data Protection Correct Information Security ManagementKey Activities ​Write, deploy, and test smart contracts and maintain them in production​Write clear and comprehensive documentation for smart contracts, including code comments, user guides, and API documentation​Monitor the performance and usage of deployed smart contracts​Look to continuously improve development processes​Incorporate risk management, quality, security, privacy and safety into smart contract development activities​Stay up to date with the latest releases related to Solidity, Stellar/Soroban, Solana, Rust developer tooling, and exploits​​​Functional Skills​Familiarity with common design patterns in smart contract development, such as factory contracts, proxy contracts, and upgradable contracts​Agile and SDLC​Testing and debugging ​Relationship management​Strong oral & written communications​

Technical Skills​Expertise in key smart contracting languages (Rust, Solidity)​Familiarity with development environments and tools like Remix, Truffle, Hardhat, and Brownie for coding, testing, and deploying smart contracts​API development and integration ​Understanding of databases and data structures​
