Position Summary As a Blending Supervisor within Energizer’s Global Auto Care division, you will oversee daily operations of the chemical blending area and Quality Lab ensuring production readiness, regulatory compliance, and achievement of safety, quality, and performance targets. You will manage blend testing and formulations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives working cross-functionally to uphold product integrity and support operational excellence through effective leadership and process control. Responsibilities Supervise the operations of the Blending Value Stream, or assigned area providing direction to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, etc.) Support the facility management in achieving high colleague morale Provide direct leadership and consistently administer Energizer policies and work rules to ensure conformity Maintain working knowledge of schedules, costs, quality, safety, FIFO material utilization, and productivity and provide direction & guidance to achieve deliverables Develop and coordinate production/maintenance schedules and human resource planning (optimizing flexibility of human resources, processes and equipment) Analyze costs, material utilization, and inventory levels to resolve variances, develop necessary controls to monitor these areas, and promote problem solving to address variances Develop strong understanding of blend formulations to improve FPY and minimize scrap Promote safety, health and environmental initiatives as well as 5S and Housekeeping within assigned area Understand and ensure compliance with chemical hygiene plan (PPE, HAZCOM, material handling and storage) Determine training needs and administer colleague training for assigned area Promote high-level performance of hourly employees including performance appraisals Demonstrate a proactive and creative approach to problem solving and continuous improvement Lead and/or facilitate improvement efforts/special projects related to safety, quality, cost, etc. Promote and champion team initiatives, colleague ownership and empowerment Testing of all completed blend batches and filler composites and provide guidance for corrections needed Provide daily leadership in Quality Lab by ensuring team is prepared for daily production runs – finished product specifications, paperwork, placards, etc. Assist with issue resolution and impact of schedule changes Develop new quality initiatives, participate in Lab quality system development, procedure writing and review, and develop/improve plant wide quality systems to ensure the plant is set up to consistently deliver high quality finished product Partner with R&D, Procurement, and contract manufacturing partners to ensure quality requirements are communicated to all stakeholders and all externally manufactured products are being manufactured to an approved specification Maintain all Quality Lab machine calibrations and ISO compliance What we are looking for Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Minimum 3 years experience managing people Strong technical expertise in manufacturing processes, with hands-on experience in liquid chemical processing (e.g., mixing, pumps, filters, valves) Proficient in Lean manufacturing principles and comprehensive understanding of ISO standards and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems Analyze and improve performance against key metrics and KPIs related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery Work across all shifts, including supporting weekend activities as production schedule needed What we prefer Six Sigma Certification ISO Certification Come join us! Total Rewards Package The salary range for this position is USD $66,000.00/Yr. - USD $79,000.00/Yr. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
