Job Description

Onin Staffing is currently hiring experienced Blaster Painters to join our growing industrial coatings team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in abrasive blasting and industrial painting, with a strong understanding of surface preparation and coating application processes. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality surface finishing and corrosion protection for industrial components.

Salary: $20 - 25/hour

Shift: 2nd Shift (54 hours/week)

Monday to Thursday: 4:45 PM – 3:15 AMFriday: 2:30 PM – 11:15 PMSaturday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM


Work Experience
Perform abrasive blasting using various blasting media to clean and prepare metal surfacesApply primers and industrial coatings using airless and conventional spray equipmentRead and follow work orders, job specifications, and safety instructionsMix and prepare coating materials according to manufacturer and project specificationsMaintain and troubleshoot blasting and painting equipmentEnsure compliance with environmental and safety regulationsConduct surface profile and cleanliness checks as required

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in blasting and industrial paintingKnowledge of surface preparation standards (e.g., SSPC, NACE)Experience operating blasting equipment, airless spray systems, and related toolsAbility to wear PPE including respirators and work in confined or elevated spacesPhysically able to lift/move 75 lbs and stand for extended periodsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredNACE I or similar certification is a plus
