As the Blades Mascot, you will be responsible for serving as the primary performer and program leader for our iconic mascot, Blades. PayMinimum \u2013 Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $47,100 - $61,200 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. More about youMinimum of 1 year of mascot experience at the collegiate, minor league, or professional sports level with a strong understanding of fan engagement strategies and character development Four-year degree in marketing, communications, sports management, performing arts, or related field with a background in dance, theater, gymnastics, or cheerleading Strong background in hockey with the ability to skate in character, and experience in social media content creation, especially character-driven content Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Experience managing or building a mascot or live entertainment program Understanding of sports marketing, branding, and live event production, with prior experience in community engagement or nonprofit partnerships Must be comfortable performing in front of large crowds and high-pressure environments Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Must be friendly, professional, and excellent with children and families
Physical requirementsMust fall within the height range of 5’4” to 5’8” due to costume restrictions Ability to skate in hockey skates and perform in high temperatures while in costume for long periods Outstanding physical fitness, agility, and stamina Ability to enter and work in construction environments Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, sit, bend, walk, climb stairs, and navigate event spaces for long periods
