Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Resource and Capital Planning Leader to join our Biotechnology Operations team. The Planning Leader will report to the Biotech Operations Lead and will be responsible for budget and capital planning – including forecasting, actuals tracking, analysis, and coordination across the Biotech subfunctions. In addition, the Resource and Capital Planning Leader will serve as a key liaison to the R&D Operations, R&D Growth Execution, R&D Capital, and R&D Innovation Management teams.
What You’ll Do:
Facilitate annual budget and capital planning processes for the Biotechnology R&D department and serve as primary point-of-contact for planning activities.Ensure efficient and effective translation of programmatic and functional budgets.Coordinate with lab leaders to analyze and resolve material resource updates, determine rates, lab capacity, and any demand/capacity reconciliation. Work with leadership to facilitate demand prioritization and resource allocation.Determine and align the Biotech planning rate for resource planning.Ideate and collaborate on continuous improvements to Biotech planning processes and reporting tools.Lead 1-Year and 5-Year Capital Planning processes and manage Capital Pools (Run & Maintain, Growth & Improvement) for Biotech.Coordinate Capital requests across all Biotech subgroups, generate cash flow projections, and collaborate with R&D Capital team for PO/PR requests. Drive preparation of Capital project business cases, scoping, and development for Biotech; preparation of financial models, DFC analyses, etc. Coordination with R&D Growth Execution team for continued strategic alignment/prioritization with organizational goals and directives.Plan, coordinate, track, and monitor Outside Contract Research Funds budget. Coordinate with Licensing, Finance, and Biotech Researchers to facilitate accurate forecasting and timely execution of financial obligations.Manage stakeholder engagement and expectations, and drive alignment, as needed.Other duties as assigned.What Skills You Need:
BS Accounting/Finance/Business/Project Management (MBA a plus) or related education and experience. Scientific knowledge or expertise not required.Exceptional analytical, oral and written communication skills. Proficient at conducting data analytics, business analytics, and using technology and reporting tools to inform business decisions.Highly adaptable; able to learn, evolve, and respond quickly to changing information, circumstances, requests, and priorities.Excellent ability to manage, track, coordinate, and report on multiple projects and deliverables with competing timelines.Self-motivated, extremely agile, and able to initiate projects, improvements, decisions, and problem solving. Detail-oriented, with strong time management and organizational skills; sense of urgency and rapid iteration. Highly collaborative. Adept at building and working in teams. Strong ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization. Significant experience with project management, business analytics, and/or six sigma concepts and methodologies.Self-directed and accountable.Ability to lead during times of ambiguity and change.Communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.This role can accommodate a flexible work arrangement where you may work multiple days a week from home.
