Job Description

We are seeking a Biopharmaceutical Analytical Chemist to support a client team focused on developing robust and efficient purification processes for recombinant proteins and other biological therapeutics, spanning early to late stages of development.

In this role, you will work in a collaborative environment to perform analytical testing, monitor in-process samples, and characterize biologics to support process optimization. Your expertise will contribute to improving product recovery and impurity removal, ensuring high-quality data to guide development decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine analytical testing to support protein purification and process development.Apply a broad range of biochemical and analytical techniques including HPLC (SEC, HIC, RP), Octet, SDS-PAGE, and ELISA.Analyze and interpret experimental data to assess process performance and product quality.Maintain accurate and compliant records using electronic lab notebooks and databases in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices.Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and systems; collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for maintenance and improvements.Support early-phase clinical development by delivering timely, high-quality analytical data.

QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.BS with 4–6 years or MS with 2–4 years of relevant industry experience.Strong hands-on experience with HPLC/UPLC (SEC, HIC, RP), Octet, and protein purification techniques.Familiarity with Empower and/or ChemStation software for instrument control and data analysis.Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures to generate reproducible data.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Details: 

The position is full-time, first shift, Monday-Friday from 8 am-5 pm. Candidates must be flexible to adapt to schedule changes requiring shift changes and/or weekend work, and overtime may be required as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Andover, MA are encouraged to apply.
