This is a full-time Biomed Technician position working at Northwest Medical Center with the flexibility of traveling to off-site clinics or helping out with other CHS facilities in the Tucson area.
This Biomed Technician 1 will work with the Biomed Manager and Biomed Team to help maintain, troubleshoot, and repair medical equipment in a healthcare setting. The position includes performing preventative and corrective maintenance, providing technical support, and other duties assigned to maintain devices, including beds, that support patient care. The technician will document all preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspection results in the computerized work order system.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, hours may flex as PM's, projects, and emergencies dictate. This position is part of a rotating on-call roster.

Associate Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred 1-3 years in biomedical equipment maintenance or a related technical field required Military medical repair specialist school or equivalent electronic training and experience preferred Familiarity with medical equipment and technology preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience with healthcare technology management programs, i.e. Internship. Medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, capital planning, etc.), Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State, Local). Advanced/Strong computer skills (proficient with Microsoft products), experience with CMMS products. Strong planning and organization skills. Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills. Basic knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical principles. Strong technical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment.Licenses and Certifications
Certified Biomedical Technician (CBET)-AAMI preferred or Certification by the International Certification Commission (ICC) in relevant biomedical fields preferred
