Job Summary
The Manager, Biomedical performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at facilities, affiliates, and other institutions that have relationships either owned or contractual. Supervises staff. Participates on EOC Committee. Manages projects. Focuses performance to ensure that all patients receive the safest and best possible experience while at the facilities serviced by the Biomedical Services Program. Works independently with minimal supervision. Delivers exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, nurses, technicians, administrators and all persons who are contacted during the course of their service. Delivers service that meets and exceeds all regulatory requirements and compliance for the position held. Assists Biomedical Services leadership with developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships. Responsible for executing and meeting all requirements of the established key performance indicators (KPI's).

Qualifications
Associate Degree Biomedical Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, military school biomedical graduation OR at least 5 years of experience in healthcare technology management in lieu of degree required Bachelor's Degree Biomedical Electronics or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred 3-5 years healthcare technology management required 1-3 years Biomedical in a healthcare setting preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Extensive experience with healthcare technology management programs Ability to supervise subordinates Manages projects including device acquisition and installation and/or EOC committee assignments ACI Certification preferred (CBET, CRES, CLES or CHTM) Must possess skill-set of advanced modality HTM expertise such as clinical laboratory, medical imaging, radiation/oncology, real-time location systems, alarm management middleware or high-end biomedical devices such as device integration/networking, catheterization lab/electrophysiology monitoring systems Medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, capital planning, etc…) Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC,State, Local) Advanced/Strong computer skills (proficient with Microsoft products), experience with CMMS products Strong planning and organization skills. Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skillsLicenses and Certifications
CBET - Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician or related certification preferred
