**Responsibilities** : + Report to the China Head of Exploratory Biomarker Solutions (EBS). + Support the China Head of EBS and have close partnership with Biomarker Solution Center and Laboratory Operation leads. + Work with clients and provide scientific advice on biomarker selection, characterization and development for clinical trials. + Support integrated sales by working closely with the commercial teams in Labcorp APAC and identify potential opportunities in biomarker related studies in early-phase clinical trials. + Coordinate with lab leads and provide testing solutions including biomarker validation strategies for non-standard assay requirements in accordance with regulatory compliance. + Regularly compile and update clinical biomarker catalogues in various therapeutics areas, working closely with lab managers and scientists. + Perform complex troubleshooting and assist in leading initiatives to solve scientific problems with assays or instrumentation. + Apply and interpret scientific theories, concepts, techniques and regulatory requirements in clinical studies and provide support in developing scientific approaches. + Provide consultation to scientific and operational staff on technical issues. + Respond to unscheduled deadlines, client needs and issues, etc. without neglecting other duties. + Assist in regular monitoring and evaluation of clinical assays to ensure effective scientific performance. + Provide technical/scientific consultation to departments outside the lab (i.e. Project Management) as requested. + Contribute to long-term planning and technical policies of EBS + Participate in client visits and bid defense meetings and provide support for early client engagement. + Regularly read literature related to scientific areas of expertise. + Attend conferences, symposia, and seminars and promote Labcorp clinical testing capabilities within dedicated scientific areas by delivering presentations. **Education /Qualifications** Required: Ph.D. in scientific areas of expertise. Preferred: Board certification in scientific areas of expertise. **Experience** **Required:** + Post-doctoral experience (3-4 years) within the scientific areas of expertise.
