Biodiesel Logistics & Operations Coordinator

This environment offers endless career opportunities for individuals interested in sharing their ideas, growing with the company and shaping TA’s future. **Job Summary** The role coordinates biodiesel logistics and operations for the Fuel Supply Department, including source optimization, contract execution, carrier coordination, delivery monitoring, and blending equipment operations. Additionally, manages select fuel supply programs nationwide as necessary to support TA’s overall fuel supply process. **Duties and Responsibilities** 1. Utilize “Fuel Shepherd,” TA’s proprietary fuel management system, to forecast daily site-level fuel requirements based on inventory, demand, and market conditions 1. Coordinate bulk fuel deliveries across assigned markets, ensuring demand is met efficiently 2. Manage biodiesel sourcing strategies by analyzing supplier pricing, reliability, logistics, and contractual terms 3. Ensure correct usage and blending of biodiesel at designated sites, oversee blender repairs, and verify compliance with blending specifications 4. Monitor market dynamics and product availability to optimize renewable fuel supply in real-time 5. Maintain supplier compliance with contract terms and fuel delivery expectations 6. Analyze pricing anomalies and support back-office administration processes 7. Configure Fuel Shepherd integration with carriers for load execution and real-time performance monitoring 8. Track daily carrier performance, resolve logistics issues, and file claims as necessary 9. Evaluate long-term carrier metrics (e.g., delivery accuracy, runouts, pricing efficiency) to drive service improvements and uphold established business guidelines with all transportation partners 10. Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate load data and timely transaction processing 11. Maintain compliance with specialty fuel programs (e.g., biodiesel blends, additives) and ensure integration into supply planning 12. Lead and support cross-functional fuel supply initiatives and special projects **Qualifications** 1. 1-4 years of relevant business experience in logistics, operations, or transportation 2. Bachelor’s degree preferred 3. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal 4. Proficient in Windows-based applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 5. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders 6.
