Job Description

For this position we are looking for an experienced and pragmatic Project Manager in Bioinformatics who will be responsible for the implementation and day-to-day operation of the IT solution processing the data generated during production.

Please note this is is full time hybrid role, working 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 08:00 till 16:00. 

Develop scripts to automate data transfer.Execute and monito primary analysis of the data generated from lab (array and NGS). Monitoring automated processes. Ensure and facilitate pro-active communication and consulting interdisciplinary teams at multiple sites.Support customers and project management team through communication, troubleshooting and resolution of any issues and concerns.Writing SOPs. Communicating with IT to ensure any expansion needed is fulfilled.Troubleshooting any IT related issues.Development, modification, verification and validation of methods.Analysis of results.Report, review and authorization of results.Running pipelines. Managing servers and SFTP.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in (Applied) Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or a related discipline.Good programming skills in scripted languages, particularly bash, Python.Knowledge of Linux operations from command line.Sound hands-on experience in handling / analysing NGS Data.Technical knowledge on the field of array analysis is a plus.Experience in analysing NGS Data in cloud (Illumina Basespace, DNANexus) is a plus.Experience in using software container (Docker, Singularity).Professional language skills in English – both written and spoken.Knowledge in Quality management and compliance to ISO17025, (GCP/GCLP) preferred.Systematic and detail-oriented. Strong communication to all types of people, both verbally and in writing. Observant and analytical in your approach to tasks. Structured in your workflow and able to navigate a busy workday.
