Work Your Magic with us!

Ready to explore, break barriers, and discover more? We know you’ve got big plans – so do we! Our colleagues across the globe love innovating with science and technology to enrich people’s lives with our solutions in Healthcare, Life Science, and Electronics. Together, we dream big and are passionate about caring for our rich mix of people, customers, patients, and planet. That's why we are always looking for curious minds that see themselves imagining the unimaginable with us.

Are you passionate about using biological data to answer meaningful research questions? Do you thrive on selecting the right tools to tackle complex datasets and then automating the analysis with robust pipelines? Do you believe that strong bioinformatics knowledge is key to unlocking the full potential of experimental data? If so, we’d love to meet you!

Join our growing Data Team at HUB Organoids, where you’ll work with cutting-edge organoid data, support client projects, and help shape the future of our data landscape.

Role Overview

You’ll be joining a newly formed data team of engineers and analysts, currently focused on building scalable data pipelines and databases. As our first dedicated bioinformatician, you’ll bring your expertise to unlock the value of our organoid biobank through complex bioinformatics data analysis and well-documented pipelines, supporting both internal R&D and external client projects.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a scale-up environment, collaborate across functions, and have a real impact on how biological data is used and understood.

What you’ll do

Analyze complex biological datasets, including NGS and other sequencing technologies (e.g. preprocessing, QC, downstream analyses of SNP arrays, Whole-Exome Sequencing WES, bulk-RNAseq and single-cell RNA-seq), molecular profiling, and phenotypic data

Automate routine analyses and build reproducible pipelines, selecting the appropriate tools and methods for each analysis, balancing accuracy, scalability, reproducibility and efficiency.

Propose new analyses and creative ways to leverage our organoid data

Support internal teams and clients by performing ad hoc bioinformatics analyses and generating reports, dashboards, and presentations

Act as a bioinformatics resource for the company, helping upskill colleagues and guiding experimental design from a data perspective

What you’ll bring

PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field, or MSc with 2+ years of hands-on experience

Proven experience working with omics data and bioinformatics tools (e.g. DESeq2, Seurat, Scanpy, Bioconductor)

Experience with workflow management tools (e.g. Nextflow, Snakemake) is a plus

Familiarity with organoid or tissue model data and/or with machine learning is a bonus

Proficiency in Python and/or R, SQL, data visualization libraries, and version control (Git)

Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with evolving priorities

Why join us?

Be part of a mission-driven company at the forefront of organoid technology

Work with diverse datasets and contribute to impactful research and client solutions

Help shape the data strategy and infrastructure from the ground up

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and grow your skills across domains

A one year contract, with outlook on a permanent position

Competitive salary with attractive benefits like 30,5 leave days plus national holidays.
