The person in this position performs highly advanced technical support for the Department's information security program. Under the direction of the Chief Information Security Office this position will assist with the planning, designing, implementation and maintenance of security systems. 
This person will be responsible for:
 -  the day to day support and upkeep of the department’s security applications on an as needed basis.   -  ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of these systems is maintained.   -  assisting with the design and maintenance of the department's CheckPoint and Cisco ASA firewalls.   - consulting with development teams and provide recommendations to maintain a secure computing environment to the CISO.  - working with the CISO on disaster recovery initiatives ensuring the security and integrity of data, data systems, and data networks across the entire department is maintained. This includes designing and implementing disaster recovery processes and business continuity procedures for re-establishing servers, databases, and operating systems in the event of a disruption, both minor and catastrophic. 
 - performing and analyzing disaster simulations for the prompt restoration of services, and conduct security assessments.
