Your role
The BIM Manager oversees the design and engineering of electrical cable systems using BIM tools, ensuring technical solutions meet customer requirements and environmental constraints. They optimize designs for feasibility and competitiveness, produce accurate digital models and technical documentation, and coordinate with both internal teams and subcontractors. The role ensures project efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement in BIM processes.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assessing the current resources on current projects to ensure that they are sufficient to meet the project goals.Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.You will conduct interviews to assess the skills and experience of potential candidates for BIM roles.Compliance with national and EU legislation on information management for each individual project (e.g ISO 19650, UNI 11337).Developing BIM execution plan (BEP), TIDPs/MIDPs, MPDT.You will be developing the client's digital handover strategy and maintaining an understanding of IFC, COBie, Uniclass and other classifications or any applicable standards for clients.Ensuring security protocols have been followed for viewing and issuing of information on all projects.Implementing governance and assurance processes.You will monitor digital handover to completion.Producing information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR and EIR) as per ISO 19650.Producing information standards, methods and procedures, and shared resources.Drafting of an informational management plan.You will be researching compliance with new regulations and governance.Manage the object library development in alignment with wider BIM strategy.Reviewing current technology solutions and research new solutions that can be used to improve the BIM process including emerging technologies.Supporting construction sequencing strategy using information models.Identifying and implementing continuous improvement plans/identifies key business improvements related to BIM implementation.Your background
Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering or similarBIM Certification / BIM Master or similarFull proficiency in both written and spoken EnglishProven experience in electrical engineering (energy industry is a plus)Proven experience in large linear infrastructural projects.Experience of BIM processes within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.knowledge of cable construction and main characteristics.Proficency with the softwares Revit, Civil 3D, Naviswork or similar.Proven experience in the use of CDE (e.g Autodesk construction cloud) as information exchange platform.
