Billing Supervisor/Manager
Description We are looking for a dedicated Billing Manager to join our non-profit team! In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will oversee billing operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with veterans' programs and organizational guidelines. This role is vital to maintaining financial integrity and supporting the services provided to our community. Responsibilities: • Generate and manage monthly census reports using organizational systems, ensuring accurate submission to the Veterans Administration and Administration for Community Living. • Maintain and update the Electronic Billing Checklist, including the entry of monthly oversight fees. • Scan and archive approved extension requests into the organizational database. • Handle billing for late timesheets and invoices from prior periods, ensuring no outstanding claims are overlooked. • Submit electronic claims accurately and on time each month, verifying client information within Health Share Referral Manager. • Process initial assessment billings promptly and transmit claims electronically using Change Healthcare. • Review and validate key client data, including ICD-10 codes, VA referral numbers, and enrollment dates, in the organizational system. • Coordinate the preparation and mailing of monthly Statements of Services Received for veterans enrolled in the program. • Provide detailed spending reports to VA coordinators on a monthly basis for review. Requirements • Proven experience in medical billing, particularly within non-profit or veterans' programs. • Strong ability to perform complex calculations with a high degree of accuracy. • Familiarity with medical collections processes and billing functions. • Knowledge of provider networks and veterans' benefits systems. • Proficiency in using electronic claim submission platforms, such as Change Healthcare. • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. • Strong understanding of ICD-10 codes and other medical billing standards. • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
