We are looking for a Billing Supervisor, Canada Capping to join Element Fleet Management.   As the largest pure-play fleet manager in the world, we provide unmatched products and services and solutions to our clients.

As the Billing Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing leadership, support and oversight to the Canada Capping team. This role will oversee and manage the workload and performance of the team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of acquisition related invoices, activation of units, process auditing and response to inquiries. The supervisor will direct and administer the day-to-day operations of the team, lead and support exception handling and root cause analysis, and drive process optimization, continuous improvement, and strategic project activities.

Leadership & Team Development

Hire, lead, and develop direct reports to foster a high-performing teamProvide guidance and support to ensure professional growth and developmentHold weekly team meetings and one-on-ones to address issues and share updatesPrioritize leadership deliverables and manage team performance and productivityCreate a culture of continuous improvement and accountability

Operational Oversight

Oversee the end-to-end Canada Capping process, ensuring accuracy and timelinessSupervise monthly billing cutoff activities to ensure task completionReview billing errors and resolve discrepancies efficientlyMaintain and analyze team metrics and KPIs, including queue volumes, timeliness, accuracy, and agingGenerate reports and provide actionable insights based on performance data

Process Improvement & Technology

Leverage technology, workflow optimization, and team development to enhance scalability and service levelsCollaborate with the IT team to implement process improvements and automationConduct regular reviews of Canada Capping processes to identify improvement opportunitiesEnsure all processes are documented and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are up to date

Compliance & Governance

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting regulationsManage financial controls and billing governance for the Canada Capping teamHandle audit requests from internal and external auditors

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and respond to inquiries promptly.Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partnersServe as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries or escalations related to Canada Capping

Industry Knowledge & Strategic Oversight

Stay informed on fleet industry operations, billing practices, and regulatory changesOversee additional projects assigned to support strategic objectives

Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferredIn-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial practices, billing processes, and industry best practicesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office SuiteStrong aptitude for technology and systems, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools

Strong analytical thinking with a keen eye for detail and accuracyProven ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement effective solutionsExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentDemonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising qualityStrong leadership capabilities with experience in motivating and developing high-performing teams.Ability to foster a collaborative and accountable team cultureAbility to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders

The hiring base salary range for this position is $76,300 to $104,900 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
