Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate billing of invoices and invoice lists (both regulars and “Specials”), ensuring that each customer’s unique billing requirements are met. This position also requires creating, updating and correcting invoices as needed. Applicants should bring exceptional customer service skills when interacting with both customers and internal departments. The ideal candidate also demonstrates strong administrative capabilities.
A day on the job looks like this:
Creating manual DM invoices and manual credit memosHandling crediting/rebilling, including determining whether a full credit/rebill is needed or identifying next stepsMaking billing corrections and edits, and processing invoice cancellations as neededCreating “master” invoices when different formats are neededResponding to ad hoc invoice copy requests (paid and unpaid) via email and/or phoneProcessing “Portal Billing” for designated customersScanning, editing, saving and renaming customer documents in dedicated foldersPrinting and signing customer Declaration Claim formsProviding proof of deliveries and packing listsAssisting with project-based invoices when neededNoting customer accounts in Process Receivables and creating “Disputes” for Class Wallet-funded invoices or those requiring special handlingManaging invoice lists and/or child invoices (creating, editing or cancelling)Creating or providing ad hoc statement of accountsSigning LLM Invoice Documents (Claimants Cert)Handling SPE File Reports—dropping off and picking up invoices from LPSInvestigating and clearing unprocessed billing documents or billing blocks dailyManaging internal and external payment inquiries relating to prepaid ordersContacting internal and external customers regarding prepayment discrepanciesOther duties as assignedQualificationsGot the skills and experience? At Lakeshore, we pay local market wages for employees that reside within Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
For this position, new employees joining Lakeshore who live within Los Angeles and Orange Counties are typically brought into the organization at an hourly rate between $22.36 - $26.00 depending on relevant experience & skillset.
This range is indicative of projected hiring range. The annual base compensation will take into account each candidate's relevant experience, location, and skillset.
