Billing Specialist II
**Description** **Job Summary** The Billing Specialist I is responsible for maintaining the billing of assigned government contracts, their financial tracking and close-out. They are also accountable for tracking payments and delinquencies. The ideal candidate must have Government accounting experience. They must be well versed in various accounting and Government payment processing platforms, have good knowledge of Accounts Receviable principles, be comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets and is highly detail oriented. They must also be proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment balancing multiple responsibilities. **Primary Job Functions** Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of assigned contract billings and related financial reports: + Maintain an assigned vendor list to be billed monthly + Calculate, create and process invoices in Jamis per the instructed billing time frame (CPFF, T&M and FFP projects) + Track Service Orders for completion + Compile required invoice package back up documentation and ensuring that they meet all government requirements for billing + Submit invoices to AR Manager for approval prior to submission + Remit invoices directly to the government following the requirements set forth as well as to clients processing in WAWF, IPP, or PIEE if required Handle collections for all assigned vendors: + Generate weekly accounts receivable aging reports + Follow up on payment discrepancies with clients + Input and maintain clear and concise commentary on payment status + Elevate payment issues related to performance to AR Manager Provide guidance and support to facilitate DCMA closeout requirements and follow close-out processes for contracts when they are complete and after audit Provide excellent customer service to all parties: + Be the liaison and support foundation for site personnel + Establish a business relationship with internal and external customers + Continually assessing ongoing processes to identify areas for potential improvement Understand contract document(s) and work closely with the Project Accounting team on setup as it relates to billings Ensure compliance with the company's financial policies and procedures as they relate to invoicing and collections **Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience** + Bachelor’s degree in either Finance, Accounting or Business + Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the Government or Defense industry and compliance with federal financial regulations + Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe software (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) + Ability to assess, interpret and apply government and industry standards, specifications to billing requirements + Display a high level of integrity and discretion when handling financial data + High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively + Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills + Handle large volume of invoice processing and data + Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure **Other** + Experience in Jamis, Cost Point, WAWF, IPP, PIEE a plus **Disclaimer** **We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.** J&J Worldwide Services CBRE Government and Defense Business is thrilled at the opportunity for you to apply to one of our roles. The base salary range for this position is $ $41,600 - $62,400.
