We are seeking a skilled Billing Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for precision and accuracy. Our office demands a high level of multitasking ability, and the ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, be organized, and possess a sense of urgency and attention to detail. You will be required to work closely with our customers to assist them with all their billing needs.
ResponsibilitiesReview invoices for appropriate documentation and approval.Process vendor invoices for payment.Communicate directly with vendors and respond to inquiries.Dispute and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or pricing.Provide supporting documentation for audits.Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.Reconcile vendor statements, research, and resolve invoice discrepancies.Verify accuracy of service codes.Responsible for imaging and record retention of all billing documents.Ensure all billing policies and procedures are adhered to, including vendor approval and invoice processing.Complete all assigned tasks with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.Prepare analysis of accounts.Produce monthly reports.Reconcile billing transactions.Keep current on vendor statements and contact vendors on past due invoices.Communicate with maintenance advisors when adjusting purchase orders.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience in a customer-service oriented role or comfortable being on the phone most of the day.Experience in processing invoices.Strong multitasking ability.Ability to handle pressure and work with urgency.Experience with call center operations, including handling inbound and outbound calls.Teamwork and great customer service skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Organization, time-management, and prioritization abilities.Excellent communication skills.Ability to meet deadlines.Good problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills.Professional integrity and judgment.Proficient in invoice processing and fleet management.Work Environment
The position is based in Schaumburg with an initial training period of 2-3 weeks fully onsite. Fridays during training will likely be remote, involving listening to calls and unsupervised training material.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
