Description
+ Billing and Invoicing:
+ Generate and distribute accurate invoices to clients in a timely manner.
+ Verify billing data to ensure consistency and compliance with internal policies and client contracts.
+ Maintain detailed and organized billing records and documentation.
+ Account Reconciliation:
+ Monitor customer accounts for discrepancies and collaborate with relevant departments to resolve disputes.
+ Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and posted correctly.
+ Collections:
+ Identify overdue accounts and proactively contact clients to resolve outstanding balances.
+ Negotiate payment arrangements or payment plans when needed.
+ Escalate unresolved collection issues to management while recommending appropriate actions.
+ Reporting and Analysis:
+ Provide regular updates on collection metrics, aging reports, and outstanding accounts.
+ Analyze billing trends to identify potential issues and recommend process improvements.
+ Customer Service:
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for billing queries and collection issues.
+ Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries to maintain positive relationships.
+ Compliance and Policy Adherence:
+ Ensure all billing and collection activities conform to company policies, government regulations, and accounting principles.
+ Stay updated on industry best practices and applicable laws regarding billing and collections.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Proven experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable (2+ years preferred).
+ Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; experience with tools like SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks is a plus.
+ Strong Excel skills, including the ability to use advanced functions for data analysis.
+ Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
+ Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
+ Experience in staffing, consulting, or professional services industries.
+ Familiarity with collection laws and regulations.
