Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Apple Valley, Minnesota. The position requires a high level of organization, independence, and familiarity with billing software and systems. Responsibilities: • Open and sort homeowners’ insurance documents received via mail for escrowed and non-escrow loans. • Review loan servicing systems to verify insurance payment due dates and payees. • Process insurance payments to ensure they are completed before their due dates. • Conduct research to identify correct insurance payees and payment deadlines when necessary. • Utilize tools such as Miser, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel to support daily tasks. • Maintain accurate records and documentation of payments and related activities. • Collaborate with team members while working independently to handle assigned tasks efficiently. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all billing activities. Requirements • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. • Proven ability to work independently and solve problems without constant supervision. • Quick learner who can adapt to new systems and workflows efficiently. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other related software. • Experience with accounting or billing software systems such as Miser. • Familiarity with accounts payable processes and general accounting functions. • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all billing operations.
