Description Robert Half is partnering with a client in La Jolla, CA, to find a skilled and detail-oriented Billing Specialist. The Billing Specialist will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, managing accounts receivable, and supporting the company’s financial health. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and process customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. + Perform thorough reviews of billing data, including contract terms, rates, and adjustments. + Reconcile accounts receivable and resolve discrepancies promptly. + Generate and analyze accounts receivable reports, tracking overdue balances and maintaining aging schedules. + Work closely with internal departments or customers to resolve billing-related inquiries and disputes. + Ensure billing records are properly maintained and audit-ready. + Process payments, refunds, and adjustments as needed. + Collaborate with the finance team to streamline and improve billing workflows. Requirements + Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or similar field (preferred but not required). + 2+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar role. + Proficiency in accounting or billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar). + Strong understanding of billing and accounting principles. + Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP). + Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail. + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to work effectively with internal teams and external partners. + Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
