Our client, in the home health care industry, is seeking a Billing Specialist to join their team. As a Medical Billing and Insurance Coordinator, you will be part of the Billing and Finance Department, supporting patient care teams and administrative staff. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and keen attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.

 

Job Title: Medical Billing and Insurance CoordinatorLocation: Ironton, OHPay Range: $14What’s the Job? 

Verify Insurance Coverage – Confirm patient benefits and obtain authorizations.

Billing & Claims Processing – Prepare, submit, and track claims with third-party payers.

Patient Account Management – Communicate account status, process financial hardship forms, and coordinate payment plans.

Audit & Compliance – Ensure billing documentation accuracy through regular auditing.

Reporting & Documentation – Generate billing activity reports for administrators and regulatory bodies.

What’s Needed? 

Education – High school diploma or equivalent (Accounting degree preferred).

Software Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel; prior experience with Home Health billing software preferred.

Organizational Skills – Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Communication Abilities – Effective interaction with patients, physicians, and third-party payers.

Attention to Detail – Accuracy in billing, claims, and reimbursement processing.
