Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. In this role, you will handle business-to-business billing processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in invoicing for gas deliveries, equipment rentals, and service contracts. You will collaborate across departments to resolve discrepancies and maintain customer satisfaction in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities: • Generate and distribute accurate invoices for gas deliveries, equipment rentals, and service agreements. • Review and validate delivery tickets, service records, and meter readings to ensure proper billing. • Collaborate with sales and logistics teams to reconcile discrepancies in pricing, deliveries, or contract terms. • Respond promptly to client inquiries and billing disputes with professionalism and attention to detail. • Maintain organized records of contracts, rate adjustments, and customer-specific billing requirements. • Set up new customer accounts in the billing system and update existing account information as needed. • Prepare detailed billing reports and assist with month-end closing processes. • Contribute to process improvements and support compliance checks or internal audits. • Utilize logistics and inventory systems to streamline billing operations. Requirements • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in B2B billing or accounts receivable, ideally in the industrial gas, chemical, or manufacturing industries. • Strong knowledge of billing systems such as Sage 100, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar platforms. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced functions. • Familiarity with logistics, dispatch, or inventory systems is a plus. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a deadline-driven environment. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
