Description We are looking for an experienced Billing Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Merrillville, Indiana. This role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely billing operations while supporting the organization’s broader goals for process improvement. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to both day-to-day billing tasks and system implementation projects. Responsibilities: • Audit and process outstanding service tickets and work orders to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Prepare and issue invoices for commercial services, including maintenance and quoted work. • Collaborate with team members to confirm service completion and resolve any billing discrepancies. • Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records to support efficient operations. • Assist in transitioning a business entity to a new operating system, contributing to documentation and workflow optimization. • Provide insights on improving billing workflows and support process enhancements. • Participate in testing and training efforts related to the new system implementation. Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in billing or accounts receivable roles. • Proficiency in computerized billing systems and tools. • Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and best practices. • Experience working with D365 or similar operating systems. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and resolve discrepancies. • Excellent communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
