Location: Concord, CA (On-site)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months)
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Start Date: July 15th, 2025
About This Role
Join our billing and accounts receivable team where exceptional customer service meets financial operations. You'll help customers resolve billing questions, manage payment processes, and ensure smooth account operations while building valuable skills in collections, customer retention, and financial systems.
Comprehensive Training Program (8 Weeks Total)
Phase 1: General Systems Training (6 weeks)
+ Master CRM systems and third-party portals
+ Learn company policies, processes, and procedures
+ Complete customer service and technical support training
+ Gain comprehensive product knowledge
Phase 2: Specialized AR Training (2 weeks)
+ Credit notes and refund processing
+ Check request procedures and invoice adjustments
+ Collections processes and account reinstatement
+ Billing recurrence and terms management
+ Account cancellation and retention strategies
What You'll Do Daily
Customer Communication (60% phone-based)
+ Handle inbound billing inquiries with professionalism and empathy
+ Make outbound calls for payment collection (soft collections only)
+ Process payments and update payment methods in real-time
+ Guide customers through technical issues with patience
Account Management & Problem Resolution
+ Resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
+ Process refunds, credits, and account adjustments
+ Investigate and reconcile payment discrepancies
+ Handle account cancellations and reinstatements
+ Schedule follow-up calls and maintain detailed task logs
Customer Retention & Solutions
+ Provide proactive solutions to prevent account cancellations
+ Offer payment plan options and billing alternatives
+ Use multiple systems and portals to assist customers

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
