Connexus Energy is seeking a Billing & Operations Specialist to maintain accurate residential member billing data. This includes rates, tax tables, billing history and usage to ensure accurate bills are produced in a timely manner. This person will monitor, research and analyze AMI meter data, using various systems, to proactively identify issues and to ensure meters are operating properly. Location: Work for this position can be performed both on-site at our campus located at 14601 Ramsey Blvd, Ramsey, MN 55303, and from your local home office, as duties require. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements, hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota. Compensation: The anticipated hiring range for this role is between $22.54 and $29.58 per hour. The final compensation offered is based on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience and skill level. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 5% of annual earnings based on company performance. In this position you will: + Ensure AMI billing readings are collected, loaded and accurate prior to each billing run. Monitor and resolve meter reporting issues as they arise. Independently perform research and audit processes to ensure timely and accurate billing. + Analyze usage data from AMI, research exceptions, process audit reports and take appropriate action to create timely bills with minimal defects. + Independently analyze and correct member data. This includes: + Processing requested changes to member’s accounts including adding or removing special rates. + Verifying rate accuracy when a premise changes ownership, critical for billing accuracy. + Research bill inquiries, partnering with member services to resolve member inquiries. + Identify and research meters that are not communicating, analyze the cause and determine further action. + Add new services into billing system including adding meter, rates and appropriate bill codes. + Work within MBO team and cross functionally to identify cost, quality and efficiency improvement opportunities related to the billing and meter reading function. + Special projects as assigned. Need to have: + High school or General Equivalency Diploma + Three or more years of customer service experience Nice to have: + Associate’s degree + Three or more years of experience with utility billing, finance, or accounting + Ability to perform both simple and complex mathematical calculations + Ability to develop knowledge of Customer Information System (CIS) software Pre-Employment Requirement: Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
