Job DescriptionThe Global Customer Financial Operations is an organization that oversees the global order-to-cash functions for NBCUniversal Media LLC, which includes Ad Sales, TV Distribution, Universal Pictures International, Universal Products & Experiences, and many other major divisions. The mission of GCFO is to facilitate sales, accelerate cash flow, mitigate risk, and provide customer service excellence.
We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Billing with a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication abilities, and a hands-on mentality. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing and managing processes, strong stakeholder management, and analyzing data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaboration is key in this role, as they will work closely with other departments to streamline billing operations and resolve business challenges. Strong customer support skills are essential, as they will address and resolve billing-related inquiries from customers promptly and accurately.
Operations:
Provide oversight and governance of the selected end-to-end billing processes and ensure accurate and timely invoicing.Monitor the output of the outsourced partner against processes, procedures, and SLAs, providing feedback on errors to the team and initiating improvements.Ensure compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements related to billing.Take a proactive role in building the efficiency of the service and partnership between business and BPO. Develop supporting documentation for process descriptions, train team members and BPO resources on processes, compliance, procedures, and system usage. Promote One Team culture.Play a key role in the financial close by overseeing operational output and preparing metrics reports for stakeholders.Provide weekly reports to the Director Global FinOps - Billing on performance, projects, new initiatives, and compliance.Analytics:
Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor process health and improvement progress.Reconcile complex account data across billing, cash allocation, customer master data, and AR, and different systems.Extract and monitor data for process improvement initiatives, automation, controls, and manual workload.Billing Operations Process Improvements:
Identify inefficiencies and, in partnership with GPO, lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives, carrying out the GFO mission of standardization, centralization, and digitization.Collaborate with product and engineering teams as well as business stakeholders to drive system improvement roadmaps.Translate data insights into strategic recommendations that shape billing policies and process direction.Take part in projects or lead small to medium impact projects for system implementations, business process transitions,and continuous improvements.Be the champion to drive standardization across the process.Stakeholder Management:
Lead cross-functional initiatives and ensure stakeholder alignment, commitment and continuous progress monitoring.Motivate positive working relation between GFO, BPO, GPO and business stakeholders.Steward of NBCU culture and values towards BPO and captive staff.Represent GFO, establish and maintain excellent working relationships across matrix stakeholders within a complex global business.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent in a finance-related area;Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position within an international environment;Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.Good project-management skills, with proven track record leading complex processes or technology initiatives in a matrix environment.Self-starter with a hands-on mentality, actively contributing to day-to-day operations.Ability to ensure data integrity by implementing robust validation and reconciliation processes across financial and business systems.Basic Accounting knowledge to understand stakeholders and the financial environment;Excellent problem-solving & decision-making skills.
