Billing EDI Analyst - HYBRID

This role works with payers to ensure member eligibility is correct, up to date and loaded in the system. Depending on the area of work the Billing EDI Analyst may also confirm payers are routed to the correct endpoints or work with patient estimates.

Responsibilities:

Verify payer member rosters are loaded in the internal database accuratelyProvide support for issues sent to mailboxEnsure payers are routed to correct endpointsIdentify problems and trends within established timeframes to determine and communicate impactProactively research, troubleshoot, and follow up to ensure inquires and problems are resolved in a timely mannerProactively find roadblocks and propose solutions to overcome themInteract and collaborate with team members at all levels, including senior managementInitiates contact with and pursues resolution from internal and external resourcesProvide customer service and follow-up for both internal and external stakeholdersExtract and validate information from multiple system sources and toolsAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyWill work independently, as well as in a team environmentBuild and cultivate strong working relationships over the phone and through emailSupport internal department projects and functional areasMaintain accurate and up to date documents such as logs, reports, spreadsheetsDevelop process/documentation material that is easily understood by end users (SOPs)Participate in projects, meetings, and training activities

Qualifications:

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferredMinimum three years previous Healthcare/Billing EDI work experience required.Previous work experience with Labcorp system Phoenix strongly preferredPrevious work with data driven analytical tools or same skills strongly preferredTechnical knowledge of HIPAA transactions: 837, 270/271, 277CA, 999, 834, strongly preferred

Other skills desired:

Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)Flexibility and the capacity to manage and adapt to changing priorities quicklyStrong attention to detail and time managementProblem-solving and organizational skillsExcellent oral and written communication

Pay Range: $40K-65K   (State minimum wages apply if higher)

Shift: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm EST

This hybrid position offers a balanced schedule of three in-office days at the Burlington or Durham, NC location and two remote workdays per week, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
