Description We are looking for a skilled Billing Clerk to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina on a contract basis. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely billing for customers while maintaining compliance with company policies and client agreements. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to delivering exceptional service, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Responsibilities: • Prepare and process customer invoices with precision and efficiency. • Maintain and update spreadsheets to track billing data and ensure accuracy. • Address client inquiries regarding invoices, providing clear and thoughtful communication. • Review billing documents to verify completeness and resolve discrepancies promptly. • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure compliance with contracts and service level agreements. • Identify and implement solutions to address client billing concerns and issues. • Organize and file work orders, including monthly storage preparation. • Generate detailed reports to analyze billing processes and ensure accuracy. Requirements • Associate degree in accounting, business, or a related field preferred. • Demonstrated experience as a billing specialist or in a similar role. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and Outlook. • Comfort working with financial data and performing numeric calculations. • Results-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills. • High level of attention to detail and reliability. • Ability to work weekends as needed. • Physical ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
