Description We are looking for a dedicated Billing Clerk to join our team in Utica, New York. This Contract-to-permanent position focuses on ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of billing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of billing procedures and the ability to analyze reports to maintain precision in all related tasks. Responsibilities: • Process billing transactions accurately and promptly. • Analyze reports to verify billing accuracy and identify discrepancies. • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure compliance with billing requirements. • Prepare detailed financial reports to support monthly accounting processes. • Maintain and update billing systems to facilitate efficient operations. • Assist in the collection of outstanding billing statements and payments. • Generate and review billing statements for accuracy before distribution. • Utilize computerized billing systems to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. • Address billing inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner. Requirements • Proficiency in handling billing functions, including collection and statement preparation. • Experience working with computerized billing systems. • Strong analytical skills for reviewing reports and identifying inaccuracies. • Familiarity with billing requirements from internal and external sources. • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively. • Excellent communication skills to address billing inquiries and collaborate with teams. • Knowledge of accounting principles and monthly financial processes. • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in all billing activities.
