Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Stockton, California. This Contract-to-permanent position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for accuracy in financial operations. As part of the role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth handling of billing processes and maintaining precise records. Responsibilities: • Generate accurate invoices based on provided data and ensure timely distribution to clients. • Review billing documents for errors and discrepancies, ensuring compliance with financial protocols. • Maintain and update customer accounts in the general ledger system. • Perform account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve any discrepancies. • Enter data efficiently and accurately into billing systems, adhering to company standards. • Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information for billing purposes. • Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure prompt payment. • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to billing activity. • Utilize 10-key skills for efficient data entry and calculation operations. • Contribute to process improvements for the billing function to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience in billing, accounting, or a related field. • Proficiency in data entry with exceptional attention to detail. • Familiarity with general ledger systems and account reconciliation processes. • Strong knowledge of 10-key operations for numerical data entry. • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. • Excellent problem-solving skills to address billing discrepancies. • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in accounting or finance are a plus.
