Billing Clerk
Description Robert Half is working with a client seeking a Billing Clerk to join their accounting operations team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone detail-oriented and eager to build a career in finance and accounting. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and send invoices to customers according to company billing procedures. + Verify accuracy of billing data to ensure all transactions are processed correctly. + Research, identify, and resolve customer billing discrepancies or issues. + Assist with maintaining up-to-date and organized records of accounts receivable transactions. + Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate billing processes are upheld. + Provide customer support via email or phone to address invoice-related questions and concerns. + Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in billing operations. + Assist with month-end close procedures for billing and accounts receivable activities. Requirements + High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred. + 1+ years of related experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar role; entry-level candidates with relevant skills will be considered. + Proficiency in standard accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. + Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. + Problem-solving mindset with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies independently. Preferred Skills: + Knowledge of basic accounting principles and familiarity with accounts receivable workflows. + Prior experience in a related industry (e.g., healthcare, manufacturing, nonprofit) is a plus.
